Advice from Wychavon District Council Regarding Schools

The use of face coverings on home to school transport is mandatory in Worcestershire for pupils over the age of 11. Staff and pupils in Year 7 and above are required to wear face coverings in corridors and in communal areas as per National guidance. It is recommended that face coverings are worn at the school gates at drop off and pick up times.

Schools have reopened following half term and 89% of pupils in Worcestershire have been in school this week. There are 38 schools and colleges across the county that currently have closed bubbles or part bubbles where staff or pupils have been identified as contacts and are self-isolating. There are currently some 990 pupils isolating from a school population of more than 84,000.
