The next stages of the refurbishment activities will require significant funding, especially the driveway work, so in order to fund these we will continue to look for possible grants that we can apply for and continue to carry out fund raising events once Coronavirus lockdown restrictions are eased.
In the meantime, the Trust in conjunction with the Parish Council, is applying to Wychavon District Council for a grant under the Legacy Development Scheme in order to construct a further extension to house new toilet and kitchen facilities and to improve access for disabled visitors.
As well as raising funds for the Schoolroom the events that we hold are an excellent way to bring Charlton residents together and increase the feeling of community. We rely on your support to ensure that The Old Schoolroom, a valuable village asset, is retained for future generations. Please continue to support the Trustees to make sure that this happens.
