AND IT’S SHROVE TUESDAY…..
before Ash Wednesday! As a tiny schoolgirl (a very long time ago), we used to say “Pancake Tuesday is a very happy day. If we don’t have a holiday, we’ll all run away”. Those were the days – dream on!
GREETING CARDS
· I know lockdown gives us time to do things but I have only just got round to sorting out the Advent and Christmas card and candle sales from my front porch. From the profit made, I was able to give donations to Fladbury Church, Centrepoint for homeless young people and Amnesty. Many thanks to all who purchased goods from me, Jane
· Denise Paxford of Broadway Lane raised £170 from the sale of the cards she makes and candles for the Duchenne Family Support Group. Denise thanks all who bought from her. She is making all occasion cards – telephone 860901
· Last year I purchased Easter cards to sell but lockdown arrived and the cards were trapped in the church. I now have the cards – if anyone would like to buy some, please contact me, Jane, by email or ring 860531. I am sure we can arrange delivery or takeaway!

The TELEPHONE BOX MINI-LIBRARY
Many thanks to all who offered to help with the running of the mini-library, as mentioned in last week’s KIT. The response is such good news. The bad news is that during lockdown it should be closed – which it now is. It was rightly brought to our attention that we are breaking the law by encouraging people to use this facility. Parish Councillor Sandy Insall is in touch with the group of volunteers who offered to help and plans are being made to sort it out as soon as we are allowed to be out and about and we can enjoy this popular facility again.
